Explorers Hiking Club – Northwest Community Park Trails (Frisco)

December 17 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

**Hiking begins promptly at 1pm. Arrive 15 minutes early.**

Our new Explorers Hiking Club is open to all Pack 443 families. Read more on our Explorers Hiking Club webpage.

Difficulty Level: Moderate

Overview: This is a connection of three separate loop trails that is operated/maintained by the Dallas Outdoor Recreational Bicycle Association (DORBA), so you share the trail with mountain bikes. It is important to follow the directional sign at the beginning of the trail and head left for hikers. The three trails are named “Ranger” (the perimeter trail), “Coyote” (interior loop trail), and “Wolverine” (a loop trail near the end of the Ranger Loop). You begin on the Ranger loop and the trail is well marked at the intersection of each loop (be sure to follow the direction for hikers).

Location/Google Map: On the east side of Teel Parkway across from Sue Wilson Stafford Middle School in Frisco, TX (33.19817348931386, -96.8680066334053)

Miles/Duration: 3 miles / 120 minutes

Notes: According to proper trail etiquette, bikers must yield the right of way to hikers, but in reality, it is much easier to just step off the trail as a biker passes. This trail can be busy with bikers on weekends and holidays. This trail is gated and is open from 8am until sunset.
